So my Flickr pro account runs out today-do I carry it on?! Let’s consider a few things:

1. I’ve found a great new plugin that allows me to upload images and create galleries and albums, complete with slideshows, right here on my blog
2. The exchange rate isn’t as good these days for $24.95
3. I don’t actively network a lot on flickr these days
4. I’m building up a huge cycle of dependency on the service
5. Keeping the free account for regular throwaway photos, and taking more time on my blog with special photos might be a better strategy

Well I don’t have to decide yet, but I reckon that I will keep my best pictures on here, under my ownership, and use mobile uploads etc so keep the social networking tools buzzing with random throw-away photos.
