Rap for a cause

Rap for a cause

This was a really fun project, where we helped FindaProperty.com run a video Rap competition to win £10,000 for charity. The site features a tool that allows you to record a rap, complete with props and lyrics and backing track! Then video is then submitted to youtube and posted back onto the site, and people get to vote for their favourite by using Facebook’s “Like” feature.

PDF Generator for Jobsite Sales Team

This was a refreshing project, the brief was to improve the quality and consistency of the marketing materials that are being delivered to Jobsite’s clients.

We found a way to standardise the content, style, and format of sales documents by building an online PDF document application.

My particular task was to design a user interface that facilitated and encouraged the use of the application. I created user journeys and wireframed the interface, and built the application front end. It features easy navigation and drag and drop functionality to aid in putting together proposal documents, which can be output as PDF documents.

The application has been a great success, and we have since then produced more applications in the same vein.

A&N Mobile and TV

New site for A&N Mobile and TV, this was my first major project incorporating Responsive Design into building the User Interface (optimised for desktop, iPad/tablet portrait mode, and iPhone screen sizes).

The site is also built using HTML 5 markup and CSS3, and it degrades gracefully for older browsers that don’t support these features. I’m especially proud of the top level navigation as it is purely CSS (no images!).

  • Responsive design
  • HTML5
  • CSS3

Finn Niche

Mini project, I updated this little publisher’s site – the previous version was getting very dated, and a lot of the information was outdated. The solution for now was to cut out the extra fluff, strip it down, modernise the design, put it on one page and get some HTML5 elements and CSS3 going (just for good practise).

Facebook page for metro.co.uk

Screenshot of metro.co.uk facebook page

A great project to update the Facebook presence of metro.co.uk, taking advantage of the new iFrame tabs for Facebook pages!

In this project I took care of the Front End interaction, including putting together the customised foursquare-Gmaps-mashup, which was a lot of fun and really got me into Gmaps mashups!

Facebook fan pages

Fan pages for two major UK brands (motors.co.uk and Actionaid UK).

Despite the frustrations of loading images onto separate servers and persistent cacheing when making changes, it was fun doing some old school slicing and dicing of design comps! We even managed to get a little bit of ajax video and forms on these pages, which made them more interactive.
